I'm tremendously sad to announce the decision by the Drupal Ireland Committee to cancel DrupalCamp Dublin in May. The reason is that we didn't get nearly as many sign-ups as necessary to make a camp sustainable. We're aware that there are several significant reasons for this lack of attendees, and we'll have a thorough post-mortem in the committee. We're also going to take the discussion to the community, starting with the Drupal Ireland AGM which we're going to schedule soon via Doodle.
I'd like to thank everyone who made an effort to prepare DrupalCamp Dublin up to this point. We're also extremely grateful for the support of the sponsors who had already signed up, especially Monsoon, Johnson & Johnson and, most importantly, Accenture who went to great lengths to provide us with an amazing venue. We can only hope for the same support when we take another attempt at setting up an Irish DrupalCamp!
If you as a community member would like to support the Drupal Ireland Association in that goal, please take part in our AGM. We'd like to keep the Irish Drupal community going, and we need your help!
If you have any questions or feedback for us, please send it to email@example.com. We'll be happy to respond.
